Highlights The
February meeting was held on
02-13-02. There were 11 members present. The meeting was called to
order at 7:00 pm. Treasurers
Report: We have $2658.11 in our accounts as of the meeting date.
The newest issue of
Wood Carving Illustrated is in the club library for members interested.
The OWLS have contacted us and requested members interested in
donating carvings for their fund raising auction can need to have their
donations to them by March 16th. The auction will be held on
March 27th at the Otsego Club at 7 pm. Those
interested in attending the Stu Martin seminar should already have their
$25 deposit in to Jim Pike. The seminar is March 18th and 19th
from 8 am to 4 pm. If you are planning on attending and do not have your
deposit in, you need to contact Jim as soon as possible at (989)
732-3222.
Advanced show tickets were passed out at the meeting anyone who
did not attend the February meeting and want advanced tickets to sell or
purchase can call Jim Pike. All
members making corporate contacts for donations are asked to follow up
ASAP and get any donations to Karen Barden as soon as possible. We still
need members to get involved in this part of the show planning. Please
contact Karen to see what you can do to help your club.
Table reservations are coming in well and we expect as good a
turnout as last year.

The Stu Martim seminar will
be held at Jim Pikes Shop on March 18 and 19 from 8 am to 4 pm both days.
The cost of the seminar in $100 per student not including the blank. NWCC
members will pay $50 plus the blank. The club will pick up the other $50.
Interested carvers both members of NWCC and other carvers are urged to
contact Jim Pike as soon as possible. We do still have some openings but
not for long. A deposit of $25 is required to reserve a spot in the class.

Get
Well
Jerry Perlinski has had double bypass surgery in Florida. Jerry Is
doing well and should now be out of the hospital.
